WATCH: "Toad-Meggedon" In Utah

Drivers on one Utah road turned green with disgust when they found the pavement covered with thousands of toads -- so many that people started calling it "toad-mageddon."

Eyewitness Mary Hulet told local TV outlet KSL that there were so many of the critters she thought the road itself was moving. She said, “At first I thought, ‘I’m just tired, there’s like, there’s no way. As I looked and I kind of focused on it, I realized these were frogs or toads that were crossing the road.”

The young toads, called “metamorphs," probably hatched about a month ago, according to officials, who estimate hundreds of thousands were part of the rare mass migration.
