A Georgia man who broke into a Florida church and caused thousands of dollars of damage before taking the time to baptize himself, is under arrest and facing a slew of charges.

Officers responded to a burglary call at the Emerald Beach Church of God in Panama City. A female employee had been inside the building when she heard someone throw a cinderblock through the window. She ran out of the church and called police.

Officers arrived and found Derek Porter loading several stolen electronics, including a TV and computer, into his truck, along with the church's money bag. Cops say Porter was also soaking wet because before he left the church, he used the opportunity to baptize himself in the sanctuary pool. It turns out he wasn't the only one taking the sacrament. A review of an officer's bodycam shows a K9 dog also taking a dip in the pool to cool off.
