A family in Canada has recently welcomed a new baby to the family…all 14 pounds of him. Sonny Ayres, who’s now the fifth child of Chance and Britteney Ayres, was born by C-section at the end of October weighing in at 14 pounds, 8 ounces…roughly twice as big as an average newborn. Sonny was roughly 21 and a half inches long.
Though the bouncing baby’s size was a big deal, it wasn’t exactly a shock to Chance and Britteny as two of their other kids were over 13 pounds when they were born. So why such colossal kids? Though things like genetics and diabetes can play a part, Briteney’s doctor says, "I think she simply makes big babies."
