A Pittsburgh couple's dog wasn't a very good boy recently when he helped himself to a very expensive meal.
Clayton and Carrie Law were having work done in their home and left an envelope containing $4000 in cash on the kitchen counter to pay for it. Clayton says he walked out of the kitchen and returned 30 minutes later to find that their seven-year-old goldendoodle Cecil had eaten the cash -- about $2000 of it. The rest of it was found chewed up on the floor.
Clayton says, "I walked back into the room and then all this cash was on the ground. He's just like this, standing there, and I'm just like oh my gosh, he ate some of this money and was in shock. I yelled to Carrie, 'He ate the money, he ate $4,000!'" Cecil has always been a good boy, so Clayton was shocked that he did this. He says, "He doesn't do many dog things, he doesn't chew furniture or clothing, that's why we're extra shocked when he decided to do this." The couple called their vet and were told that Cecil would be fine. Then they worked to collect as much of the chewed up cash as they could find, both in the house and out in the yard. Everything they found was taped up, washed, and brought to the bank. When it was all over, the couple was able to recover all but $500 of Cecil's meal.
