Some concerned residents in Lynchburg, Virginia called 911 completely dumbfounded because a creek flowing through town had turned almost completely white.
The fire department dispatched a team to check out the creek and make sure there were no hazardous materials in it. They should have brought cookies along with them because an investigation determined that the creek had turned to milk. They soon figured out that a clogged drain at a nearby dairy plant had caused waste milk to overflow into the creek. The clog has since been fixed and the creek is now back to normal. Officials say there was no public health risk.
