Imagine a yoga class where people do downward-facing dog and half-moon poses while completely naked, and you've got a new practice called Bare Roots yoga. A studio in Billings, Montana, is now offering clothing-optional yoga classes, which it says is designed to boost body confidence, build community, and release trauma from the body.

Clementine Lindley, owner of Limber Tree Yoga & Wellness, says, "Yoga is, at its core, about liberation and I'm trying to get people into a space of acknowledging what they might be holding in their bodies and that’s everything from trauma to joy." The class has gained in popularity, and while most people start out wearing very little clothing, many eventually go full monty.
