Apparently, it is easy being green. An 83-year-old woman in Brooklyn lives her entire life in one color, having been obsessed with the shade for the last 20 years. Elizabeth Sweetheart, opened up to the British talk show “This Morning” yesterday saying, “I have worn a lot of color throughout my life and green just seemed to be the happiest, it makes everyone happy and it’s easy to live with.”
Sweetheart’s hair, home, and wardrobe are festooned in every shade of green from evergreen to neon chartreuse. The artist has even taken her love of the color to Instagram with the account The Green Lady of Brooklyn, which has nearly half a million followers. What do others think of her one-shade obsession? “People are wonderful, when they see me, they smile, they are happy and they love to take photos, they take selfies and we hug each other, it’s very positive.”
