Sarah Dill and Cade Wessel's love story began on the first day of sixth grade at Braden River Middle School in Bradenton, Florida. They became friends immediately and started dating during their senior year of high school despite attending different schools. Sarah says that Cade has always been a part of her life and their strong friendship is the foundation of their romance.

During their senior year, Cade’s yearbook quote was, "Twenty bucks I marry Sarah Dill," showing how certain he was about their future together. Sarah only learned of the quote when a friend sent her a pic of it via social media, but she was touched by Cade's public declaration. Despite only beginning their romantic relationship halfway through their senior year, Cade's commitment was clear from the start. He says that his intentions were always serious, he always felt that Sarah was more than just a girlfriend to him.

Their relationship endured a long-distance phase during college, with Cade and Sarah attending schools more than a hundred miles apart, but they maintained their tight bond over four and a half years. Then, earlier this year, Cade's prediction finally came true when he married his highschool sweetheart. The famous yearbook quote played a big part of the celebration and their wedding photographer captured the moment Cade's friend handed him a $20 bill. He’d fulfilled his high school declaration, winning that bet.
