A hen named Harriet became a mother figure to 10 Great Pyrenees puppies after losing her eggs. Tracie Hale, from “Windridge Farm” in Oklahoma, shared the story on TikTok. Harriet laid her eggs in a dog house but lost them when Hale’s dog, Lucy, ate them for extra calcium during her pregnancy.
Despite the loss, Harriet remained in the nesting area and started mothering Lucy’s puppies, even sitting on them and showing them how to eat. "Harriet realizes that she will not be able to take these puppies from Lucy, so she's going to choose a co-parenting approach," Hale narrated on TikTok.
