A pizza delivery driver in Brownsburg, Indiana, recently went viral after trekking through a snowstorm to deliver a pizza. Rock Star Pizza delivery driver Connor Stephanoff walked nearly half a mile through the snow in sweatpants and tennis shoes because a road closure blocked his route. School Resource Officer Richard Craig of the Avon School Police Department witnessed his determination, saying, “This man walked through hell and high water to deliver a pizza.” Despite his efforts, Stephanoff only received a $2 tip.

Officer Craig shared the story on social media, where his followers quickly rallied to support the delivery driver. He created a crowdfund campaign, which quickly blew past its $500 goal, raising over $95-hundred from more than 450 donors. Stephanoff, who helps support his grandmother, expressed disbelief and gratitude for the outpouring of kindness.

Rock Star Pizza’s owner Ron Mathews commended Stephanoff for his hard work, saying he went above and beyond without expecting recognition. Mathews says that they don’t require their delivery drivers to work during snow storms, but Stephanoff insisted. Stephanoff says that his dedication stems from overcoming a challenging upbringing, adding that the generosity shown to him has been a meaningful and unexpected gift.
