Have you seen the “toxic parenting” trend all over TikTok. Basically, Millennial parents are testing their parenting skills by seeing how their kids respond to “toxic” old-school parenting phrases like, “Kids should be seen and not heard.”
In one Tik Tok, a mom asks her tween daughter to finish the sentence, “Kids should be seen …” Her daughter responds with “And loved.” She then says, “I brought you into this world ..." to which the daughter answers, "To be your bestie?" A+ for mom!
