Last week, a bride and groom on the way to their wedding in Phoenix, Arizona, received a heartfelt surprise while flying with Alaska Airlines. During their flight, airline staff invited fellow passengers to write down their best marriage advice on napkins and note paper to share with the couple, Kirsten and Sam. The thoughtful gesture was shared by the bride on social media, where the post quickly went viral, racking up nearly half a million views.
The notes included messages from couples with a variety of experiences, including one married for 40 years who advise the newlyweds to communicate, never go to bed angry, and cherish the little things. Another note encourages the couple to always acknowledge small gestures to maintain intimacy, like admiring sunsets together or giving genuine compliments.
Kirsten expressed her deep gratitude for the kindness shown during the flight, saying she sobbed while reading the notes and felt honored to receive such personal insights. She plans to preserve the messages as a piece of art to display in their home. Calling the experience “literally so special,” the bride shares her appreciation for the passengers' advice and the lasting impression their words made on her and Sam.
