A Florida woman named Emely Martinez was arrested for performing unlicensed dental work, including attaching veneers with store-bought super glue. The 35-year-old posed as a "smile makeover expert" on social media and attracted customers with extremely cheap prices for full-mouth veneer treatments. While licensed clinics charge $900 to $1,500 per tooth, Martinez reportedly charged just $2,500 for a full mouth of veneers.

Operating from her shop in Pinellas Park, Martinez promoted herself as a dental technician despite having no formal training. Her scam was discovered when two upset clients filed complaints after suffering serious tooth damage, infections, and pain. When they visited real dentists, they learned their veneers had been attached with Krazy Glue, a household super glue that's not safe for medical use. One victim needed emergency surgery to fix the damage. Martinez refused to give refunds and denied responsibility. Police said Martinez has no license or training to do dental work, which is required in Florida.
