The 35th annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade took place in New York City yesterday, bringing together hundreds of costumed dogs and their owners in one of the best pet parades every year. The parade kicked off around 1 p.m. with dogs marching down Avenue B in front of a massive crowd. This year featured a new activation block with free treats and activities for pets and their owners, sponsored by Stella and Chewy's.

For the first time, the parade included grand marshals, four adoptable dogs from New York City shelters, including Pup Starz, Social Tees, and the ASPCA. The creative costumes ranged from Harry Potter to the Lorax, with dogs dressed as everything from food items to movie characters. One dog dressed as a Labubu, the popular collectible toy, while another wore a costume inspired by a Taylor Swift music video. The event also included a limited-entry costume competition. The parade has grown into what some call the Met Gala of the canine community, drawing thousands of participants each year.
