Authorities have released several calls made to 911 the afternoon of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland that left 17 people dead.

The Broward Sheriff's Office says they received the calls on Feb. 14th, between 2:22p.m. and 3:35 p.m..

One of the calls included has been identified as coming from someone within the building saying there was a shooting in the school.

In one call, a man who identified himself as being from Coral Springs, said he was relaying information from another person in the school who was describing the shooting to him.

“It sounded like possible shots in the background,” the man says. “I think I heard five or six in two different bursts.”

The man followed up saying he got another call from someone who told him that someone had been wounded "in the 1200 building."

One mother can be heard sobbing as she described a series of texts her son sent her, "He just called me. And he said, shots! shots! shots! Mom! Oh God!"

You can listen to the audio recordings (which total about fifty minutes) here

Nineteen-year-old Nicolas Cruz has admitted to going to the Parkland high school and killing 17 people and wounding 17 others.

On Wednesday, a Broward County grand jury indicted Cruz on 17-counts of first-degree murder and 17-counts of attempted first degree murder.
