The Los Angeles Police Department is showing off its patrol robots. During an LAPD Expo at the Police Academy in L.A. this week, visitors got to see the next generation of “non-lethal’ policing in action. Two-legged humanoid robots and four-legged canine robots demonstrated how they can de-escalate dangerous situations without the use of deadly force.
