Seasonal UPS driver Aubrie Jones is earning praise for her thoughtful gesture she recently performed while on the job. She was delivering an unboxed Barbie Dreamhouse and to prevent a child from having their Christmas surprise ruined, she took a few minutes to wrap the box before delivering it. She posted a video on social media showing the good deed, explaining that she just had to do something to make sure a little girl’s holiday joy wouldn’t be ruined.
The video quickly gained traction, racking up nearly 2-million views and thousands of comments, many from parents who had their own stories of delivery drivers going to great lengths to make sure that Christmas gift remained a surprise. “This is what our parents meant when they said Santa is real,” one comment reads, “The spirit of Christmas. That’s the magic.”
Jones' kind act also caught the attention of her employer, UPS, who called her the "Definition of Santa’s Helper.” In response to the praise, she says she loves her job, is grateful for the opportunity, and enjoys getting to be one of Santa’s elves.
