This would definitely be a tipping situation. Staff at the Pine River Motel in Cheboygan, Michigan, were surprised to find a 3-foot alligator named Wally under the bed when they went to clean a room. The guest, an exotic animal handler, had been in town for educational presentations at local elementary schools. He later told authorities that he didn’t realize Wally was gone until later, and that he had been searching for him.

After the Cheboygan Police Department contacted him, the owner promptly returned to retrieve Wally. The creature that staff said was “a real friendly alligator” was safely reunited with his owner.
